37 Weeks

We're almost there and have been enjoying the nice summer weather, getting out and about, playing with friends, going to the Y, going for boat rides, and just being outside! I'm still feeling pretty good, way less swelling than when I was pregnant with Natalie, which is awesome. I told Matt that up to 80 degrees, I'm fine, but once it gets warmer than that my feet start to swell. Thankfully I don't have to go all summer being pregnant! We pretty much have everything ready, that can be ready for baby. Diapers, wipes, basinette, a few neutral outfits, bouncer, bathtub, carseat, and our hospital bags are packed and ready to go. I will be going in for doctor appointments every week now and we just had a check up this evening. Baby's heartrate was 130, my blood pressure has been great this time around, and Dr. Sensor said my weight gain and everything else is right on track. Natalie is so excited to meet her new sibling and talks about him or her every day and how she's going to be such a good helper. She also likes to talk about things that she can as a "big girl" that the baby won't be able to do because it's "too little". Hopefully she'll adjust quickly and it'll be a smooth transition to a family of 4! So for now, we're just waiting.. and waiting some more :-)

32 Weeks

2 more months and we'll get to meet our little peanut! I've had two check ups since I posted last. I passed my glucose test, I had to get less than 140 and I got 137, whew that was close! We were talking with Dr. Sensor about Easter candy and she said it was a good thing I didn't eat a bunch of Peeps before I took the test! Baby's heartrate was 146 at that appt and 128 at our 30 week check up. Natalie really enjoys going to the check ups and hearing the baby's heart and talking with my doc. She informed her that "I'm having a baby and it's in Mama's belly" haha Matt and I spent a little time last weekend getting some things ready for the baby's arrival. We washed up the basinette, car seat and some toys, which of course Natalie loved playing with. Remaining on our to-do list is to buy some diapers and wipes, get the swing washed up and ready and pack our bags. I would also like to schedule a tour of the hospital to take Natalie so she'll have an idea of where she'll get to come when baby is born and all. I'm still feeling pretty good and sleeping good. I just have a few minor complaints like heartburn and a sore back, but nothing terrible!

28 Weeks

Good morning! I have entered the 3rd trimester and am remembering that it's not all fun and games from here on out. Swollen feet, extra tiredness, sore back, and running to the bathroom every hour... and it's just going to get worse! But it's all worth it in the end, I really shouldn't complain because I do feel pretty good most of the time. Our last appointment was fast, my belly was 24 cm and baby's heartrate was 134. I go in on Wed for my glucose test, hoping for good results on that one! We've been staying busy, enjoying this unusually nice weather and seeing friends and family. Natalie's getting excited to meet her baby brother or sister, 12 (or so) more weeks!

Week 23

natalie's new big girl room (she's actually in the bed, but you can barely see her!)
Baby has been rockin and rollin like crazy! Matt has been able to feel baby's kicks and this past weekend I even saw movement on the outside of my belly. I'm still feeling good, getting a little more tired but that could also have to do with chasing a 2 year old around! Natalie is very excited about her new brother or sister, and talks about how she's going to be a very good helper when baby is born. She moved upstairs to her big girl room, and loves it up there. She says her new room is "totally awesome" so now we can get her old room turned into a nursery. I have a check up next week so I'll include those details in my next post!

20 Week Ultrasound

Matt and I were so excited to see our little peanut on the ultrasound! Even though we didn't find out the sex, we loved seeing baby squirming around, I think he/she was fist pumping in there! We got to see baby sucking and I love watching the heart beating too! The tech said baby is about 13 oz and 10-12 inches long. And she measured the foot and said it was 1 inch. :-) The heartbeat was 145 in the ultrasound room, but when we saw Dr. Sensor right afterwards the heartbeat was 158. My blood pressure is good 118/78, hopefully it stays low! I'm still feeling great, Natalie and I have been staying busy playing with friends and going to the Y. She is excited about her new baby brother or sister and calls it "her baby" and talks about how she's having a baby. It's really cute, she talks to baby in my belly and will sing songs, usually "Baa, baa black sheep" We have moved Natalie upstairs to the big room, and will slowly be working on getting the baby's room ready too.

18 Weeks

We're looking forward to our 20 week ultrasound in a couple of weeks, when we'll get to see our little peanut rockin and rolling. I felt the first flutters at 16 weeks, and they've been getting stronger ever since. Natalie says she's excited to be a big sister and likes to talk about the baby in Mama's belly that will be her brother or sister. We will be moving her upstairs to the big room and big bed in order to get the crib and nursery ready for the new baby. It's going to be an adjustment for all of us, but we are excited! I'm still feeling great, and getting lots of sleep. I wish I could store it up! I'm happy we have our Y memberships so I can stay active since we can't spend too much time outside. I have a few friends that are pregnant too, so it's fun to go through this with them too!

12 Weeks

We are overjoyed to be expecting a Baby Grizzy #2! We haven't really come up with a nickname yet, except maybe New Kid, we might have to think of something better though! My pregnancy has been going awesome so far! Although I was pretty nauseous and tired during the first trimester, it passed over pretty quickly and since I've entered the 2nd trimester I've felt great! I'll try to keep up on pictures and posts, because I've really enjoyed looking back at my blog when I was pregnant with Natalie!
